Born 1939 in Athens, Stelios Ramfos after studies in Law and Philosophy at the Universities of Athens and France respectively, followed by a teaching career in Philosophy at the University of Paris VII from 1969-1974, returned in Athens where he devoted his life apart from his family to writing and lecturing.
His books, as well as his lectures, refer to critical analysis of classical and modern philosophers and the reflection of their meaning on our current life.
